Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áṋdháre diip jvele jái
Diip jvele jái
Diipshaláká tava pradiip tomáro
Ghrta salitá tumi ámár kichui nái

Je kare sparshe dhariyáchi shaláká
Seo priyatama tava karuńári kańiká
Ámár balite áche je ámi tákeo káche
Asamaye sáthe náhi pái

Anádikáler prabhu ananta vibhu
Vishva upaciyá raciyácho paribhu
More ghire raciyácho satata sauṋge ácho
Tomári jaygán gái

O lord, i go on kindling lamp in darkness. the matchstick
is yours, the lamp is yours too, the wick and the ghee is
You alone, nothing is mine. the hands with which i am
holding the stick that also is particle of your mercy,
O dearest. whatever i consider as my own self, even
that i do not find with me in time. o the infinite lord since
beginning less time, you have created a world with limits.
You have created surrounding me, remaining with
me all the time. i sing your victory song.
