Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áṋkhir táráy theko tumi priya
Nishidin mor káche
Hárávár bhay jena náhi ray
Jhaŕ jhaiṋjhár májhe

Duhkhe o tápe shokasantápe
Tapta marubhúmir uttápe
Santvaná náhi cái jena káńe
Tomár núpur báje

Bhálabási kichu náhi cái priya
Marmer májhe madhuratá dio
Sei madhuratáy jena dhará dey
Priiti mohan sáje

O dear lord, the pupil of my eyes,
you remain close to me day and night.
Because i should not have any fear of
getting lost during storms and typhoons.
if i continue to get into my ears
the sound of your ankle bell,
i would not want your consolation
during pains, burns, grief, mourning, bereavement,
caused by hot desert.
o dear, i love, and want nothing from You,
just grant sweetness in the core of my heart.
so that by that sweetness you can come into
my loving fold with charming adornment.
