Je jádu mákhiye dile citre vicitre
Tár ki tulaná upamá rekhecha

Suniila ambare asitámbuda svare
Je dhvani jágiye dile arańya marmare
Je sur anurańita rajata nirjhare
Kon giitikáre tá shikháyecha (tumi)

অরুণ রাগে নব অনুরাগে
এ কোন মাধুরী ঢেলে’ দিয়েছ
সদ্যস্নাত সে শীকরলিপ্ত
ঊষসী অঙ্গে তুলি বুলিয়েছ

শ্যামল পত্রে রেখায়িত চিত্রে
মনোহারিণী বনহরিণীর নেত্রে
যে জাদু মাখিয়ে দিলে চিত্রে বিচিত্রে
তার কি তুলনা-উপমা রেখেছ

সুনীল অম্বরে অসিতাম্বুদ স্বরে
যে ধ্বনি জাগিয়ে দিলে অরণ্য মর্মরে
যে সুর অনুরণিত রজত নির্ঝরে
কোন্‌ গীতিকারে তা’ শিখায়েছ (তুমি)
