Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Arúp theke tumi rúpe esecho
Sakal mádhurii d́hele diyecho
Madhur mohan bháve dhará diyecho
Priitir báṋdhane sabe beṋdhecho

Alakár abhirám tumi bandhu
Priyer priyatama sudhásindhu
Bháver atiit tumi bháve esecho
Guńete bhuvan bhariyecho

Avák vismaye bhávi tomáre
Savák bháśáy cái rákhite dhare
Aváuṋmánasgocar je tumi
Tái ki marme t́háṋi niyecho

O lord,
from the formless stage you came into form,
and poured out all your sweetness.

You appeared in sweet and charming ideation
and tied all to the bondage of love.

You are my ever companion of heavenly beauty.
You are the dearest amongst my dear ones.
You are the ocean of nectar.

O one beyond thought,
You came into ideation
and filled the whole world with attributes.

When i think of you i become speechless
and filled with astonishment.
And yet, i long to hold you with speech and language.
You are beyond the scope of the senses,
speech and mind.
This is why you have taken your seat
in the recess of my mind.
