Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ásibe baliyá gele
Bhuliya gecho bujhechi
Nayaner noná jale
Anubhúti cepe rekhechi

Suniil ákáshe háse
Svapniil shashiikalá
Ámár manete bháse
Tava nidáruńa liilá
Tabu patha ceye rayechi
Gáne gáne jege áchi

Juthii parimala bháse
Mandamadhura vátáse
Práńera uśńatá háse
Uccháse prati shváse
Tabu ámi hár máni ni
Pal guńe guńe calechi

O lord,
You went away telling you would return,
but i understand now that you forgot this.

I have kept my feelings suppressed
in the tears of my eyes.
In the blue sky the dreamy moon smiles.
And in my mind appears your cruel game.

Yet i have remained on the path,
keeping myself awake with songs.

The pollen of the juhi flower
floats into the gentle and sweet breeze.
The warmth of life smiles with each breath.

I do still not accept defeat
and continue moving on, counting time.
