Bakula taruchaye kusuma bichaye is the 1406th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Bakula tarucháye kusuma bicháye
Chilum patha ceye
Se kathá kii gele bhule
Áṋkhite chilo jal vedaná chalachal
Ákásh chilo vimal
Tumi ele tále tále

Bahitechilo váy se tarura gáy
Pápiyá paiṋcame madhura giiti gáy
Dulitechilo shákhá malaya madhumákhá
Tomáte ámáte dekhechi áṋkhi mele

Ámi balechinu moha mit́e geche
Tumi balechile tabe eso káche
Anádikálasrote tomáte ámáte
Áche bhálabasá saritári kúle kúle

O lord,
awaiting your arrival,
with flowers spread out for you,
I stood in the shade of the bakul tree.

Have you forgotten this incidence?

Due to agony,
my eyes were full of tears.

The sky was clear
and you came with manifold rhythms.

A breeze was blowing,
and it seemed as though the tree had begun to sing,
with the papiya bird pronouncing the fifth note.

Absorbed in the sweetness of sandal,
its branches were swinging to and fro.

With eyes wide open, we looked at each other.

I told you all blind attachments had been dispelled.
You then asked me to come closer.

From time immemorial,
between you and me,
love has existed,
flowing like a river amidst its banks.
