Shishutaru mahiiruha je hayeche

বলেছিলে মোরে গান শোণাবে
সেই আশায় কাল গুণি (আমি)

পরিক্রমা কত ধরার হয়েছে
কত যে শরৎ বসন্ত গেছে

শিশুতরু মহীরুহ যে হয়েছে

The days I count, expectantly.
With smile sweet, You had assured:

Many times has Earth gone round its path;
So many Falls and Springs have passed!

Anxious for Thee, fake webs I weave.

The saplings, they've grown into trees;
Mountains eroded have become ant-heaps!
Time's reckoning has reached its limit;
