Shońábe maner jata kathá
Shárada nishiithe vasanta práte
Phule phale kata madhuratá

Tomár gánete purátan nái
Nava rúpe shudhu nútanere pái
Chande o sure bahiche sadái
Ciranútaneri váratá

He tiirthapati jagater práń
Mahan haite tumi sumahán
Ańureo kare dáo gariiyán
D́hele hrdayer udáratá

বলেছিলে মোরে গান শোণাবে
শোণাবে মনের যত কথা
শারদ নিশীথে বসন্ত প্রাতে
ফুলে ফুলে কত মধুরতা

তোমার গানেতে পুরাতন নাই
নব রূপে শুধু নূতনেরে পাই
ছন্দে ও সুরে বহিছে সদাই
চিরনূতনেরি বারতা

হে তীর্থপতি জগতের প্রাণ
মহান হইতে তুমি সুমহান
অণুরেও করে’ দাও গরীয়ান
ঢেলে’ হৃদয়ের উদারতা

O lord,
You promised that you would sing songs for me,
mentioning all my mental agonies,
mentioning all the winter nights,
all the spring mornings
and all the sweetness of fruits and flowers.

There is nothing old in your songs,
in them i find only what is new in newer forms.
In rhythms and melodies,
new facts about ever new events
constantly flow about.

O lord of all pilgrimage,
life of the world,
amongst the great,
You are the greatest.

You glorify particles,
by pouring into them the generosity of your heart.
