Bandhu gao gao gao madhugiiti is the 26th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script Bengali script Translation

Bandhu gáo gáo gáo madhugiiti,
Tandrá bhenge dio
Bandhu cáo cáo cáo nirvadhi,
Ogo priya ati priya

(Áji) práńer jaŕimá ket́e geche
Maner suśamá bhare geche
Áj tomár chande, madhu niśyande
Ámáke nútan kare nio,

(Áj) alakár srote áloka nipáte
Lokátiita bháve bhare dio,

O Lord, sing Your blissful songs
and rouse me from this static slumber.
Look at me, always look at me!
O my dearest, dearest Lord.
Today my life's dullness has disappeared.
My mind is filled with exquisite beauty.
In Your rhythmic flow of sweetness
make my life evernew.
O my dearest, dearest Lord.
Let me flow in the current of celestial light
and fill me with transcendental feeling.
O my dearest, dearest Lord.

Purport

This is how Sarkar himself described the meaning of the song.[2]

Paramapuruśa (the Supreme Consciousness) is the greatest friend. The degree of bondage is greatest in crude matter where consciousness is dormant. So, O Lord, please sing Your blissful songs and rouse me from this slumber of staticity. Let me proceed towards Your effulgence. Let the supramental waves elevate this entire material world to the Supreme Stratum, and let me rise above this material world and come in close contact with You. I want this blessing from You, my Supreme Guide, my Paramapuruśa.
