The sound of your flute has made me restless.
O Lord, Your flute sound makes me restless
My mind cannot tell the difference between time and nontime.
day in and day out, heedless of time.
The flute plays to the panchama melody, calling my name.
The flute sounds in high pitch, calling me by name
Without hesitating, i rush towards it.
and I rush alone forgetting all shyness.

My mind gets detached from job,
My mind cannot concentrate on work,
always listening to the melody of flute,
I constantly hear the flute sing its dangerous melodies.
which creates utter ruin.
I am determined not to listen to it anymore.
I plan that I would not pay attention
No matter how much it calls, i will turn away.
and respond to that any more.

No matter how ardent be the call,
But alas, i cannot help but to hear it.
I would feign deafness.
And when i do, i become filled with remorse.
But I cannot help hearing
How shall i get rid of this bothersome sound?
and thinking of that I die with shyness.
You tell what an agony is this.
