Ámár kathá mane rekho ná
Sab kichu diye diyechi tomáy
Tabu ele ná e ki chalaná

Malay pavane phule dolá lágáy
Phuler madhu váyu ki bhole
Cáṋder áloy joyár je jágáy
Cáṋd ki kakhano tháke bhule jale
Ámár kathá tumi bhule gele
Eso ná káche eso ná

Ámár mane dolá dile jakhan
Joyár sama udvel halo man
Cáṋd sama dúre theke hásile takhan (tumi)
Ceyo ná ár ceyo ná

ভালোবেসেছিলুম ভুলে’ যেও
আমার কথা মনে রেখো না
সব কিছু দিয়ে দিয়েছি তোমায়
তবু এলে না এ কি ছলনা

মলয় পবনে ফুলে দোলা লাগায়
ফুলের মধু বায়ু কি ভোলে
চাঁদের আলোয় জোয়ার যে জাগায়
চাঁদ কি কখনো থাকে ভুলে’ জলে
আমার কথা তুমি ভুলে’ গেলে
এসো না কাছে এসো না

আমার মনে দোলা দিলে যখন
জোয়ার সম উদ্বেল হ’ল মন
চাঁদ সম দূরে থেকে’ হাসিলে তখন (তুমি)
চেয়ো না আর চেয়ো না

O lord,
I loved you.
That, you must forget.

Do no longer entertain thoughts of me.

I gave you all my belonging,
yet, you did not come.
What deception!

When the sandal breeze
sways the flowers,
can it forget the honey that lies in them?

The moonlight arouses tides.
Can the moon ever forget the water?

But you have
forgotten me,
and that is why
You do not come close.

You swung my mind,
and, like tides,
made it go restless.

Then, like the moon,
You smile from afar.
You do not love me anymore.
