Cale jábe je tumi
Kotháy rekhe ámáy balo ná
Gale geche je baraph
Jáni jhare jábe haye jharańá

Shiite niśpatra je drum
Vasante phot́ábe kusum
Uśasii ráuṋá kumkum
Se ki púrvákásher chalaná

Háriye jábo je ámi
Gahan e vanabhúmi
Nisháná dekhio tumi
Nái bá thákuk ámár sádhaná

চলে' যাবে যে তুমি
কোথায় রেখে' আমায় বলো না
গলে' গেছে যে বরফ
জানি ঝরে' যাবে হয়ে ঝরণা

শীতে নিষ্পত্র যে দ্রুম
বসন্তে ফোটাবে কুসুম
ঊষসী-রাঙা কুমকুম
সে কি পূর্বাকাশের ছলনা

হারিয়ে যাব যে আমি
গহন এ বনভূমি
নিশানা দেখিও তুমি
নাই বা থাকুক আমার সাধনা

Oh You Who would leave,
Kept where, do tell me...
Snow that has gone and melted,
It will fall, I know, as torrent.

In winter leafless are the trees,
But blooms will blossom in the spring...
Dawn-crimson is the kumkum;
Such eastern-sky subterfuge!

Lost would I surely get;
This forest is so dense...
But You show the objective,
Lest my effort not persist.
