Candanasurabhi mákhá
Ke go ele áji
Aiṋjana nayane áṋká
Mor káche kichu ná jáci

Balilám cini ná tomáy
Dekhechi mane náhi hay
Bhevechi mane mane
Niráláy ásana raci

Balile jáno ámáy
Mor sáthe tava paricay
Anádi káler theke
Esechi shata rúpe sáji

চন্দনসুরভি-মাখা
কে গো এলে আজি
অঞ্জন নয়নে আঁকা
মোর কাছে কিছ না যাচি'

বলিলাম চিনি না তোমায়
দেখেছি মনে নাহি হয়
ভেবেছি মনে মনে
নিরালায় আসন রচি'

বলিলে জানো আমায়
মোর সাথে তব পরিচয়
অনাদি কালের থেকে
এসেছি শত রূপে সাজি'

Glazed by sweet scent of sandalpaste,
Oh, Who are You that came today,
Kohl traced upon Your eyes,
Asking nothing from my side?

I declared: "Yourself I don't recognize;
That we've met, it does not spring to mind.
But I have taken resolve inwardly
On throne building in lonely retreat."

Then You replied: "You do know Me;
With Me is your intimacy.
Since ancient times long out of mind,
Assuming countless shapes, I have arrived."
