Chayar desher shese ese is the 1895th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Cháyár deshe[nb 2] sheśe ese
E kii máyáy mátále
Gáne gáne práńe práńe
Sur bhariye dile

Cháyáy chilum nijeke niye
Nijer pánei shudhu ceye
Máyáloker indraloke
Rámdhanu rauṋe ráuṋále

Cái ná kichu tomár káche
Theko ámár maner májhe
Cáoyá páoyár urdhve áche
Bhávt́i tomár virale

O lord, coming from the end of the arena of shadow,
You intoxicated with what an illusion. you filled melody
in each life and song. in the shadow i was living with
only selfish thoughts, loving only myself. you coloured
the rainbow, in the arena of illusion and heaven. i do not
want anything from you, just stay within my mind.
Above the desire and attainment, your rare ideation is located.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ The original notation shows this word variably as desher and deshe. Both are possible, but the meaning of this line and even the sense of the entire song becomes quite different. While the Second Bengali Edition[1] shows desher, here we prefer deshe. With desher, the translation would become: At the end of shadow's realm, having appeared.
