Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Dúr ambare sandhyásáyare
Kár jyotihkańá bhese áse
Kii je kathá kay kii varatá bay
Ábháse shonáy náhi bháśe

Se sakal kathá bujhite pári ná
Se d́ák marme dhariyá rákhi ná
Áse ár jáy palake lukáy
Bojhá jáy more bhálabáse

Jár jyotihkańá ke se go puruś
Man keŕe ney náshe je kaluś
Peyeo pái ná jeneo jáni ná
Shudhu bujhi áche sabe mishe

In the distant sky, in the sea of evening,
whose sparks come floating?
What do they say, what message do they carry,
speaks through gestures and not through language.
all that i am unable to understand.
that call i do not keep held in the mind.
it comes and goes and hides in the eyelids.
then i understand that he loves me.
whose particles of sparks are they?
who is that purus’a, who snatches the mind
and destroys the dirt?
Even after getting, i do not attain him,
even after knowing, i do not understand Him,
only i understand that he pervades all,
is mixed with all.
