Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ei álo jhará púrńimáte
Eklá eklá eklá
Eklá chilum ámi gahana ráte
Sauṋge dvitiiya chilo ná keha
Tumi ele niirava carańpáte

Káche ásile tabu basile ná
Priitidhárá d́hele dile kichu nile ná
Maner kathá mor balá halo ná
Práńer bháśá raye gelo manete

Tomár liilá priya kichu bujhi ná
Tomár ásá hásá e ki chalaná
Ebár ásile pare rákhibo ghare dhare
Basábo citte smita abjate

On that shining full moon night,
i was alone in the intense night.
there was no second body with me,
you came with silent footstep.
you came but did not say anything;
you poured out flow of love
but did not take anything.
i could not speak about my mental feelings.
The words of my heart remained in my mind only.
i cannot understand at all,
your divine play, liila’, o dear.
your coming and smiling, was is mere delusion.
This time, when you come, i shall hold you
in my home, and make you stay
in the smiling mental world.
