Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Ei) Vihán beláy áj ekeláy
Mane paŕe mor mane paŕe
Ei álo jhará práte tomár sáthe
Dekhá hayechila girishikhare
Girishikhare

Sei nirjan niipnikuiṋje takhan
Chila phuler mádhurii chila madhurita man
Ei man madhuvane práptir svanane
Nijere báṋdhiyáchila priiti nigaŕe
Priiti nigar'e

Áj phul cápá paŕe geche tuśárstúpe
Madhuvan háriyeche rauṋe rúpe
Maner kuiṋjavane ájio sauṋgopane
Tava priiti raye geche káná bhare
Káná bhare

Today, on this morning
during a time of loneliness,
it occurred to my mind.

On this light radiating morning,
we saw each other, on the mountain peak.

In that isolated arbour of niipa shrubs,
sweetness prevailed in flowers and minds.

In that sweet garden of my mind,
with the resonance of attainment,
I tied myself with the knot of love.

Today, my flower is left stamped and crushed,
it lies burried under a heap of snow.
My sweet garden has lost its colour and beauty.

And yet, in the mental arbour of my garden,
even today, secretly,
Your love lingers on, full to the brim.
