Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ekánte ese bale jáo
Kon dośe more dúre rákhiyácho
Káche kena náhi t́ene náo

Tapan t́ániche graha o cáṋdere
Játe tárá dúre náhi jáy sare
Suvishál ei ákáshete paŕe
Tái sadá sedike tákáo

Ságar d́ákiche saritáke
Dharitrii t́áne jvaladarcike
Kalápa meliyá mayúro d́áke
Dúr meghe dekho ni ki táo

O lord, coming into solitude, tell me, for which fault
of mine you hade kept me away and did not pull
close to you. the sun pulls the planets and
moon. so that they do not run away in this vast space,
hence you ever look at them. the ocean call the rivers,
the earth pulls the strings of rain. the peacock also,
spreading its tail calls the distant clouds, that do not you see?
