Eklá ámáy phele
Kotháy gele cale
Sauṋge sauṋge chile
Kena ná bale cale gele

Je taru ropań karechile
Se áj sushobhita phale phule
Je sur sedhechile
Mor marme báje pale pale

Mane paŕe utture váye
Kankane shiiter haoyáy
Tomár se uśńa parashe
Já mor hiyáy diye gele

Ájio dakśińá váye
Madhur parash láge gáye
Mane paŕe mádhaviinikuiṋja cháye
Ámi chinu ár tumi chile

একলা আমায় ফেলে’
কোথায় গেলে চলে’
সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ছিলে
কেন না বলে’ চলে’ গেলে

যে তরু রোপণ করেছিলে
সে আজ সুশোভিত ফলে ফুলে
যে সুর সেধেছিলে
মোর মর্মে বাজে পলে পলে

মনে পড়ে উত্তুরে বায়ে
কনকনে শীতের হাওয়ায়
তোমার সে উষ্ণ পরশে
যা’ মোর হিয়ায় দিয়ে গেলে

আজিও দক্ষিণা বায়ে
মধুর পরশ লাগে গায়ে
মনে পড়ে মাধবীনিকুঞ্জ-ছায়ে
আমি ছিনু আর তুমি ছিলে

O lord,
leaving me alone,
where did you go?

You were with me...
why did you leave without informing me?

The tree that you planted
today became decorated with flowers and fruits.

The tune that you played,
still resonates in my mind each moment.

I remember the warm touch on my heart
that you provided
during the cold winter's northern wind.

Even today,
the southern wind sings of your sweet touch.

I remember that in the shade
of the madhavii flowers arbour,
I was there and you were also there.
