(Ámáy) Cetanár pathe niye jete
Tomáre bhuliyá vipathe calechi
Párini nijeke káje nite

Kata din geche sandhyá hayeche
Kata vibhávarii káṋdiyá ket́eche
Calite párini path páini go
(Áj) Ápani esecho nite sáthe

Sab yátanár sab hatáshár
Sheś halo tumi ese jete

এসেছিলে প্রভু ঘুম ভাঙ্গাতে
(আমায়) চেতনার পথে নিয়ে যেতে
তোমারে ভুলিয়া বিপথে চলেছি
পারিনি নিজেকে কাজে নিতে

কত দিন গেছে সন্ধ্যা হয়েছে
কত বিভাবরী কাঁদিয়া কেটেছে
চলিতে পারিনি পথ পাইনি গো
(আজ) আপনি এসেছো নিতে সাথে

সব যাতনার সব হতাশার
শেষ হলো তুমি এসে যেতে

You came, Lord, to shatter slumber,
To lead me on the path of consciousness.
Forgetting You, I had gone astray;
On my own, I could not make my way.

How many days went by and evenings passed—
How many nights were spent in weeping.
I could not progress on the path,
But today You've come to guide me.

All suffering, all despondence,
Is over, for You are come.
