Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Eso go priya tumi mor hiyáte
Tanute tanute ańute ańute
Milan mádhurii mor mane mákháte

Kata nishi káṋdiyá giyáche je caliyá
Alinde basiyá ásá patha cáhiyá
Ravir raktaráge ráuṋá chilo anuráge
Maner gopan kathá divase ráte

Juge juge anurodha kariyáchi kata shata
Jváláo priitir diip mor práńe avirata
Vipade náhi t́ali sampade náhi bhuli
Tomár doláy duli chande giite

O dear lord!
Come into my heart,
come into each molecule of my body!
Absorb my mind
into the sweetness of unison!

How many nights have passed by
in crying, in waiting, in sitting on the balcony,
in looking onto the path you would arrive on!

The secret events of my mind in day and nighttime
were coloured with the love of the sun's red rays.

Throughout ages,
hundreds of times,
have i been requesting you
to continuously kindle the lamp of love
in my heart.

Without shaking in danger
nor forgetting you in happiness,
I continued swinging
in your melody and rhythm.
