O my Eternal Companion, hoping to attain You,
O my companion, in hope of You,
My eyes are devoid of sleep.
On my eyelids is no sleep.
Keeping pace with Your rhythm,
To match my cadence with Your beat,
Every moment just fades away.
Mine gets canceled at every wink.

My mind gets pulled towards mean thoughts,
My mind gets pulled towards mean thoughts,

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Eso go sakhá tomári áshe
Nid náhi mor áṋkhipáte
Tomári tálete tál miláte
Tál ket́e jáy prati muhúrte

Man cale jáy chot́a bhávanáy
Rauṋera nesháy rauṋiina máyáy
Tomári srote náciyá calite
Shakti jogáo divasa nishiithe

Bajra ánáo ulká ánáo
Bal diye jáo táre jujhite

O my companion, in hope of You,
On my eyelids is no sleep.
To match my cadence with Your beat,
Mine gets canceled at every wink.

My mind gets pulled towards mean thoughts,
It lingers on over colorful, intoxicating enactments.
Dancingly moving in Your flow,
Provide me strength day and night.

Even if You should bring thunderbolts and meteors,
Continue granting me strength to face them.
