The green fairy came into the arena of songs and told,
In the land of songs a fresh Fairy did appear,
"he would return again". all told," do not wander; we all
Having sung that song telling "I go back presently".
would keep you surrounded. with song you brought green shade,
Everybody replied "You're in-country; don't return;
weaving colourful illusion in the mind. we shall not let you go and
By us all surrounding You, Yourself we will keep."
would continue listening to your songs, messages, wholeheartedly.

In the kingdom of song, demon has come and he has crushed all.
Through Your songs, green shade You have brought;
You destroy many and create many; we are looking at you with hope.
In the mind a painted magic You have wrought.
So Yourself we won't allow to depart;
We'll go on hearing songs that are life-filling.

At kingdom of vocal music had arrived a demon,
He had pulverized each and every song.
But You break enough and make enough;
Now we are vigilant and hoping.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Gáner deshe elo sabuj parii
Gán geye balle se ebár phiri
Balle sabái tumi deshe phiro ná
Ámrá sabái tomáy rákhbo ghiri

(Tumi) Gánete enecho sabuj cháyá
Manete bunecho rauṋin máyá
Tomáy jete dobo ná
Gán shuńe jábo je paráń bhari

Gáner rájye esechilo dánav
Guṋŕiye se diyechilo je sab
Tumi anek bháuṋgo ár anek gaŕo
Ámrá ceye áchi áshá kari

In the land of songs a fresh Fairy did appear,
Having sung that song telling "I go back presently".
Everybody replied "You're in-country; don't return;
By us all surrounding You, Yourself we will keep."

Through Your songs, green shade You have brought;
In the mind a painted magic You have wrought.
So Yourself we won't allow to depart;
We'll go on hearing songs that are life-filling.

At kingdom of vocal music had arrived a demon,
He had pulverized each and every song.
But You break enough and make enough;
Now we are vigilant and hoping.
