Kata din ket́e geche ásá patha ceye
Kata vibhávarii geche e bhávaná niye
Kata gán ámár geche je háriye
Raciyáchilám já prati prahare

Je gán ámár háriye geche
Je sur asiime mishe rayeche
Tumi cáilei tárá ásibe phire
Hásibe ábár tomáre ghire

গানের মালা আমার কণ্ঠে তোমার
পরাতে চেয়েছি জীবন ভরে’
জীবন ভরে’
নিকটে আস নি ধরা দাও নি
বলো না পরাই কী করে

কত দিন কেটে’ গেছে আসা-পথ চেয়ে
কত বিভাবরী গেছে এ ভাবনা নিয়ে
কত গান আমার গেছে যে হারিয়ে
রচিয়াছিলাম যা’ প্রতি প্রহরে

যে গান আমার হারিয়ে গেছে
যে সুর অসীমে মিশে’ রয়েছে
তুমি চাইলেই তারা আসিবে ফিরে’
হাসিবে আবার তোমারে ঘিরে’

O lord, whole life i aspired
to place around your neck
the garland of my songs.
you do not come close,
do not come into fold,
tell me how can i place it.
how many days have passed,
looking at the arrival path.
how many nights have passed
carrying this thought.
how many songs that i created
each hour is lost.
the songs of mine that got lost,
the melodies that remained merged
in the infinite.

and smile around You.
