Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

He prabhu tomár liilá balo ke bujhibe
Aváuṋ mánasagocara tumi je
Buddhi tái prati pade here jábe

Din rát kena áse táhá kichu jáni[nb 2]
Prthivii súrja kena esechilo tá ná jáni
Kenar uttar pete[nb 3]
Jata jáni tata ná jáná je beŕe jábe

Kenai bá jiiv áse kena caliyá jáy
Rúpe rase bhará dhará jáy kon ajánáy
Tumi cháŕá er uttar balo ke balibe

Hey Lord, pray tell, who will grasp Your liila?
You're beyond the reach of speech or mind and senses;
Hence, at every step, the intellect, it will get defeated.

Why the day and night come, that I do learn a bit;
Why Earth and sun had come, I don't know about it.
To find reply of the question, Why,
The more I know, so much the unknown will get multiplied.

What for do the living come, and why do they go away;
Full of form and juice, Earth goes to which unknown place?
Pray tell, except You, the answer to this who will say?
