Oh, who calls me in the language of songs?

Why are you so removed at this odd time?"
Why are you so removed at this uncommon time?"

Hiyara majhare niirava prahare is the 199th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Hiyára májháre niirava prahare
Ke go d́eke jáy gánera bháśáy
Bale eso eso páshe baso baso
Kena dúre ácho ei abeláy

Geche kata kál rauṋiina sakála
Kata sáṋjher belá jiivane uttál
Kena ásile ná kena basile ná
Kena ná sáŕá dile je tava sáŕá cáy

Ogo dúragata e kona máyáy
Phulad́ore áji báṋdhile ámáy
Eta dine mor halo mahá dáy
E phulamálá tava parábo galáy

In the core of my heart at hours[nb 2] when I am silent,
Oh, who calls me in the language of songs?
He says, "Come, come, sit by my side;
Why are you so removed at this uncommon time?"

Gone are so many bright dawns
And so many twilights in my turbulent life.
Why didn't You come; why didn't You sit—
Why didn't You answer one who besought Your reply?

O distant Lord, by what magic
Do You now bind me with a cord of flowers?
After so long, to me is owed a great debt;
I will place this garland around Your neck.
