Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Jagatt́á nay mithye máyá
Mithye rauṋer khelá
Liilámayer liilá e bhái
Liilár mohan melá

Súryya áse prabhát háse
Sakal diki rauṋe bháse
Rauṋer jhilik práńe meshe
Raiṋjane utalá

Dine ráte tári áshe
Ceye tháki nirnimeśe
Ei cáoyá bhái púrńa habe
Táhár sáthe mishe
Náná rauṋer náná phule
Bharbe rauṋer d́álá

This world is not a mere illusion.
It is not a display of false colours.

It is the game of the playful Lord.
It is a charming exhibition of sport.

The sun rises, and the dawn smiles.
All directions are dazzling with colours,
Gleaming colours, intoxicating colours.

They merge with the flow of life
In this game of the playful Lord,
In this charming exhibition of sport.

Day and night I await Him,
Seeking Him with unblinking eyes.
