Lyrics

Roman script Bengali script Translation

Jagat t́á nay mithye máyá
Mithye rauṋger khelá
Liilámayer liilá e bhái,
Liilár mohan melá

Súrya áse prabhát háse,
Sakal dikai rauṋge bháse
Rauṋger jhilik práńe meshe?
Raiṋjane utalá

Dine ráte tárie áshe,
Ceye tháki nirnimeśe
Ei cáoyá bhái púrńa hobe,
Táhár sáthe mishe
Náná rauṋger náná phule,
Bharbe rauṋger d́álá

This world is not a mere illusion.
It is not a display of false colours.

It is the game of the playful Lord.
It is a charming exhibition of sport.

The sun rises, and the dawn smiles.
All directions are dazzling with colours,
Gleaming colours, intoxicating colours.

They merge with the flow of life
In this game of the playful Lord,
In this charming exhibition of sport.

Day and night I await Him,
Seeking Him with unblinking eyes.
