Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Je analashikhá dahe ahamiká
Se anale jena tomáre pái
Tomáre pái go tomáre pái
Je ambudhináce kśudratá náshe
Táte tava mahimá dekhe jái

Suniil ákáshe tárakávindu
Kśudra hrdaye agádh sindhu
Tomári racaná he vishvendu
Tumi biná ár kichu je nái

Sneha mamatá bháv bhálabásá
Práń bhará priiti hrdi bhará áshá
Tomáte nihita sakal pipásá
Tái to arúp tomáre cái

The flame that consumes vanity,
In that fire may I get Thee.
May I get Thee, may I get Thee.
In the ocean-dance that ruins what's petty,
In that I keep witnessing Your majesty.

Star-specks dot a sky of flawless blue;
A tiny heart contains the sea without root.
In Your grand creation, oh my Cosmic Moon,
Nothing else is there without You.

Tender affection and love's feeling,
Cordial friendliness and wishes sincere...
Invested in You are all of my yearnings;
Hence, Unbodied One, I crave Thee.
