Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Jyotsná tithite bakula viithite
Kár priitikańá bicháye ray
Ke se rúpakár kareche sákár
Mádhurii táhár bhávanámay

Jáhá bhávi niko táo dekhi hay
Bhávi jáhá báre báre tá ná hay
Ekii liilá jáne ekii jál bone
Surabhi rabhase chandamay

Nirákár váuṋmano'agocar
Bhariyá rayeche sárá carácar
Chaŕaye diyeche áloke áṋdhár
Dyuti mańiháre vishálatáy

On this moonlit path of bakul flowers,
Whose particles of love are spread?
Who is that beautician,
Who materialised his sweet thoughts?

Whatever i had not imagined, that also, i have seen.
And, whatever i have been thinking, again and again;
that does not materialise.

Who knows this divine play?
Who weaves that web,
with upsurge of emotions, in a rhythmic way?

O formless, unrealisable by voice and mind,
You have filled the whole animate and inanimate world.
You have scattered light in the darkness,
like dazzling light from a necklace,
as embodiment of rhythm.
