When shall you come, o dear,
What time will You arrive, Dearheart?
i am sitting looking on the path.
Watching the path, I'm seated.
i have decorated the altar
An altar decked with sundry kit,
with different beautiful objects,
On it I've poured mind's sweetness.
into which i have poured my mental honey.

i have threaded the garland
With mental flower-necklace
with mental flowers and thread of love.
I have strung upon love's strand,
i have kept myself awake for You,
On Your account I'm vigilant,
without drowsiness, closing the eyes.
Mopping eyes, sleepless.
at the end part of the night,

upon the altar wet with tears,
At this final lookout{{#tag:ref|Each ''jám'' or "watch" spans a period of approximately three hours.|group="nb"}} of the night,
even now if you come,
With the kit made wet tears by,
i would sit close to you.
Even now should You arrive,
Kindly sit adjacent.

Kabe tumi asbe priya is the 2149th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kabe tumi ásbe priya
Patha ceye base áchi
Náná sáje vedii sájiye
Maner madhu táte d́helechi

Mánasa kusumaháre
Gánthiyáchi priitid́ore
Jege áchi tomár tare
Atandra nayan muchi

Jáminiir ei sheś jámete
Ashrute bhejá sájete
Ekhano jadi ásite
Basite mor káchákáchi

What time will You arrive, Dearheart?
Watching the path, I'm seated.
An altar decked with sundry kit,
On it I've poured mind's sweetness.

With mental flower-necklace
I have strung upon love's strand,
On Your account I'm vigilant,
Mopping eyes, sleepless.

At this final lookout[nb 2] of the night,
With the kit made wet tears by,
Even now should You arrive,
Kindly sit adjacent.
