Ke go geye jay sandhyataray is the 727th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ke go geye jáy sandhyátáráy
Nám kare more d́ák diye
Madhumákhá mamatá bhariye
Nece chut́e jáy kathá ná shudháy
Dúre theke tháke tákiye

Varaśár meghe shárada ákáshe
Manda vátáse tháke milemishe
Cetanáy ghana bháve anupama
Dharite nári je bhuliye (táre)

Hemanteri himel háoyáy
Shiit jaŕatáy vasanta váy
Griiśmer jhaŕe ámrashákháy
Phulasaorabhe madhu niye (tháke)

On Evening Star,[nb 2] Who is singing,
Naming me, issuing a summons
Full of love, coated with honey?
Dancing rapidly, He bids no response;
But at afar He remains, anticipating.

With rain clouds in the skies of autumn
And with sluggish winds He keeps company.
Through deep feelings and best of intentions,
The negligent cannot detect Him.

In pre-winter's frosty atmosphere,
In winter's inertia, in the breeze of spring...
In summer storms, on a mango branch,
With floral fragrance, bearing nectar He is there.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ The term used here, Vesper or Evening Star, could refer to evening in general. But more often it is a reference to the planet Venus, as it appears just after sunset (upon the western, evening sky).
