Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kichu kaye jáo kichu shuńe jáo
Ata táŕátaŕi jeo ná
Mahánabhoniile tomári nikhile
Ámáre muchiyá phelo ná

Miláiyá dáo tomáte ámáre
Shata path beye shata dhárá dhare
Maner kusum koraker madhu
Shukháiyá jete dio ná

Bhálabásiyáchi tomárei ámi
Duhkhe sukhete divasa jáminii
Pauṋke kamal phot́áye rekhechi
Dalguli tár chiṋŕo ná

Speak on a bit; hear on a bit;
Do not leave so quick.
To the vast azure, Your universe,
Myself don't desert.

Grant that You and I, we tally,
'Cross hundred paths, gripped by a hundred streams.
The nectar of mind's flower-bud
Please don't let it dry up.

Yourself only I am loving,
Night and day, in grief and glee.
In mud, full-blown I have kept a lotus–
Don't tear off its petals.
