On some forgotten morn with a pleasant breeze,
On some forgotten morn with a pleasant breeze,
On mind's mirror You appeared.
On mind's mirror You'd appeared.

Smiling with golden effulgence,
Smiling with golden effulgence,
Floating on a honeyed fragrance,
Floating on a honeyed fragrance,
Wiping out all of the darkness,
Wiping out all of the darkness,
You did blossom like a flower.
You had blossomed like a flower.

Smearing pollen of existence,
Smearing pollen of existence,
Etching images of newness,
Etching images of newness,
Sending out a thunderous message,
Sending out a thunderous message,
You did shatter all the fetters.
You had shattered all the fetters.

Kon bhule jaoya bhore sahasa samiire is the 37th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2][3] For other songs with the same or similar first line (title), see Bhule jaoya bhore.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Kon) Bhule jáoyá bhore sahása samiire
Maner mukure esechile (tumi)

Sońálii áloy hásiyá
Madhur suváse bhásiyá
Sakal kálimá náshiyá
Phuler matan phut́echile (tumi)

Práńer parág mákhiyá
Nútaner chavi áṋkiyá
Vajraváńiite d́ákiyá
Sab shrṋkhal bheṋgechile (tumi)

On some forgotten morn with a pleasant breeze,
On mind's mirror You'd appeared.

Smiling with golden effulgence,
Floating on a honeyed fragrance,
Wiping out all of the darkness,
You had blossomed like a flower.

Smearing pollen of existence,
Etching images of newness,
Sending out a thunderous message,
You had shattered all the fetters.

Purport

This is how Sarkar himself described the meaning of the song—[4]

You came into my life. When You came I don't remember. But this much I know— that once You came in my life. You came with a golden light, spreading a sweet fragrance. And because of Your radiant appearance, all dark clouds disappeared. All the pains and agonies of my life were removed. You appeared in my life like a pure flower. And with Your appearance, there was a flood tide of new vigour in my being. All my bondages were broken to pieces.
