Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kon se atiite tumi esechile
Bhule gechi din kśańa tár
Kon atale tárá taliye geche
Rekhe geche shudhu smrtibhár

Se atiita lekhá nei itiháse
Patre chatre kona rekhábháse
Se atiita áche beṋce maneri májhe
Ashrute sikta kare priitihár

Atiita kakhano phire ásibe ná ár
Ásibe ná phule bhará priiti samáhár
Keval thákibe tumi abhra avanii cumi
Táito tomáre nami shata shata bár

O lord, on which past day you had come
that moment i have forgotten.
Into which depth all that sunk down,
just keeping the load of memory.
the record of all that past is not entered into history.
into the shade of leaf, what impression would appear?
that past survives within the mind.
wetting the garland of love with tears.
The past would never return back any more,
that combination full of flowers of love
would not come back. only you would exist,
kissing the sky and earth
that is why i express my salutations to you
hundreds and hundreds of times.
