O lord,
In a lovely dream, with footsteps mild,
You came into my mind in a sweet dream.
You have come into my mind.
Into my new floral home
Filling my eyes with fresh floral design,
You came with soft footsteps,
You have come into my mind.
and filled my eyes.

At that time,
Then, flowers were dispensing pollen's honey,
the flowers were pouring nectar from their pollen,
And birds were singing well-practiced melodies.
while birds were singing their melodious songs.
The love-sick, spurning all ties worldly,
Rushed forth dancing on way to Thee.

Those who had been separated from their lover
In a gentle breeze, with potent memories,
rushed out and in dance moved towards you.
Love overflowing, tenderly pleasing,
I cast off drowsiness energetically;
Your anklets were rhythmically jingling.

You came into my mind
With [[:wikipedia:Cuckoo|cuckoo's]] dulcet notes in garden mine,
with sandal breeze.
You have come into my mind.
You came with a sweet memory,
and glittering directions.

With an enchanting colouration,
You bypassed and eliminated sleepiness.

You came into my garden
with the rhythm of jingling anklebells,
resonating to the sound of the cuckoo.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Madhura svapane mrdula carańe
Tumi esechile mor mane
Nayana bhariyá puśpita nava ketane
Tumi esechile mor mane

(Takhan) Phulerá d́eleche paráger sudhá
Vihagii geyeche gán sure sádhá
Virahii cháŕiyá path dharábáṋdhá
Nece chút́e geche tava páne

Malaya pavane madira smarańe
Dikbhásá ráge madhuraiṋjane
Tandrá jhariyá pásariyá práńe
Núpura chande nikkańe

(Mor) Pika kalatáne kánane
Tumi esechile mor mane

In a lovely dream, with footsteps mild,
You have come into my mind.
Filling my eyes with fresh floral design,
You have come into my mind.

Then, flowers were dispensing pollen's honey,
And birds were singing well-practiced melodies.
The love-sick, spurning all ties worldly,
Rushed forth dancing on way to Thee.

In a gentle breeze, with potent memories,
Love overflowing, tenderly pleasing,
I cast off drowsiness energetically;
Your anklets were rhythmically jingling.

With cuckoo's dulcet notes in garden mine,
You have come into my mind.
