Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Man keŕe niyechis ghar cháŕá karechis
Ár kii cás ámáy tu bal go
Sab kichu diyechi bákii ná rekhechi
Tabu kena ná ásis go

Tor lági rekhechi málá geṋthe
Phuler toŕá rákhá áche háte
Tuke d́eke cali dine ráte
Shunte tu náhi ki pás go

Pathe ghát́e shune tháki tur nám
Kakhano shuni nái kuthá tur dhám
Tá jadi áge thákte jánitám
Tukeo mur pathe ánitám go

O lord, you have snatched away the mind,
made me leave home,
what else do you want, tell me.
i have given all, left nothing,
still why did not you come?
for you, I have kept the garland threaded;
the bouquet of flowers is in the hand.
i have continued calling you day and night,
are you not in a position to listen?
i hear your name on the paths and shores,
but never heard where do you reside.
if i had known that earlier,
i would have brought you on my path.
