Marma mathiya hiya niunariya is the 377th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Marma mathiyá hiyá niuṋáŕiyá
Ele tumi áj ogo manomay
Tomár rúpete sabe rúp pelo
Tomár jyotite halo dyutimay

Bháva je chilo ná bhávátiita lok
Sarjanasrote chilo trilok[nb 2]
Manane dharár ánile álok
Madhuratá d́hele hale madhumay

Sat je chilo ná ná chilo asat
Kśudra chilo ná ná chilo mahat
Rátri chilo ná diváo chilo ná
Chile shudhu tumi amita amar

Stirring my soul and wringing my heart,
You came today, Lord, the essence of mind.
With Your substance, everyone received form;
With Your effulgence, they became bright.

Without thought, there was a transcendental realm;
In the stream of creation, the three worlds[nb 3] arose.
With universal cognition, You brought splendor;
Exuding sweetness, You became the essence of nectar.

Without existence, there was no extinction;
Without the tiny, there was no great.
Without the night, there was no day;
There was only You, my Limitless One.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ In the published Bengali book, the line reads as written here. However, in some Roman script versions and in the audio file, we find "Sarjanasrote chilo ná trilok". Here the "ná" is omitted, in accordance with the book.[2]
  3. ^ In this philosophical song, "three worlds" is most likely a reference to the crude, subtle, and causal realms (for human beings, the physical, mental, and spiritual realms). However, other interpretations are possible.
