Tomár álor rauṋe rauṋe
Bhese bhese cale giyechilo
Madhur parashe malaya vátáse
Maner mayúr necechilo

Maner májháre je kálimá chilo
Juga juga dhare jamá hayechilo
Priiti mahimáy tava suśamáy
Nihsheśe hárá hayechilo

Bhuvane mátále ogo surakár
Gopane sájále tumi rúpakár
Surajhaiṋkáre viińári táre
Kii mádhurii jhare paŕechilo

মেঘ এসেছিল
তোমার আলোর রঙে রঙে
ভেসে' ভেসে' চলে' গিয়েছিল
মধুর পরশে মলয় বাতাসে
মনের ময়ূর নেচেছিল

মনের মাঝারে যে কালিমা ছিল
যুগ যুগ ধরে' জমা হয়েচ্যহিল
প্রীতি-মহিমায় তব সুষমায়
নিঃশেষে হারা হয়েছিল

ভুবনে মাতালে ওগো সুরকার
গোপনে সাজালে তুমি রূপকার
সুরঝঙ্কারে বীণারই তারে
কী মাধুরী ঝরে' পড়েছিল

O lord, the clouds came
in various colours of your light
and went away floating.
with the sweet touch of sandal breeze,
the mental peacock danced.
the blackness accumulated
in the mind since ages,
got lost totally by your beauty
and power of love.
o the great composer,
You have charmed the world.
o the beautician,
you have decorated it beautifully.
from the tinkling note
of the strings of the viin’a’,
what sweetness is scattered.
