Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Megher májhe águn jvele
Vajrer mato esecho (tumi)
Dharár shiláy káṋpan diye
Bhúmikampe nececho (tumi)

Tomár liilár nei je anta
Asiim theke dúr diganta
Shabde sparshe rúpe rase
Gandhe hiyáy phut́echo

Chot́t́a phuler parág tumi
Mahodadhir atal bhúmi
Sabár rauṋe rauṋ mishiye
E kii liiláy metecho (tumi)

Mid the clouds, lighting a fire,
Like thunderbolt You have arrived.
With the hail You hold giving a shake,
You have danced upon earthquake.

To Your liila there's no termination;
From infinity comes the far horizon.
With sound and touch, with form and flavor,
And with scent, You've blossomed in the heart.

You are the pollen of the humblest flower,
The unplumbed bottom of the ocean.
Your color mixed with that of all,
In what divine sport have You indulged!
