E sab ke bá jáne ke bá bojhe
Ke bá tá jánite cáy cáy cáy

E vihag áche sakaleri mane
Jiṋáne bá ajiṋáne niirave gahane
Ei vihagke se sadá bhálabáse
Eke cheŕe tháká dáy dáy dáy

মুক্ত বিহগ ভেসে' যায়
জানে না কোথা হ'তে এসেছে কোন্‌ স্রোতে
কোথায় বা সে যে ধায় ধায় ধায়

নভের কোন্‌ কোণে যাত্রা শুরু হ'ল
কোথায় বা তার পূর্ণতা এল
এ সব কে বা জানে কে বা বোঝে
কে বা তা জানিতে চায় চায় চায়

এ বিহগ আছে সকলেরই মনে
জ্ঞানে বা অজ্ঞানে নীরবে গহনে
এই বিহগকে সে সদা ভালবাসে
একে ছেড়ে থাকা দায় দায় দায়

বলাকা লোকাতীতে যায় যায় যায়

The free bird keeps on flying.

It does not know
where it came from,
what its origin is,
and where it is heading to.

It does not know
from which recess of the sky its journey started,
and where its fulfilling destination lies.

Who knows and understands all this?
Who cherishes to know it?

This bird exists in everyone's mind,
knowingly or unknowingly,
in deep silence.

It is to be loved always,
because it resides within.

The swan drifts on,
unto a sphere beyond this world.
