You should know that this is not merely soil; this earth is my mother. In its fields, the sheaves of grain gleam with golden light. The children of its soil bear an outlook of true gold. O earth, my mother earth! With its sky and stars, with the fragrance of flowers and its sweet water and air with all these remains my eyes-consoling land. O earth, my mother earth!
