Our darling baby is like a little doll of butter,
A puppet of cream is our darling baby;
Wiggling hands and feet, laughing with glee and joy.
Hands and feet are waving as s/he laughs and laughs.

Its fingers are like blossoms of champaka flowers,
Her/his fingers are like magnolia buds;
The luster of the celestial world is glowing in its eyes.
A heavenly glow fills her/his eyes.

Plucking tender flowers from the forest,
Plucking tender flowers from the forest,

Naniir putul tutul tutul is the 59th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2] It is also known as the baby-naming song, because it is often sung at the conclusion of the Ananda Marga baby-naming ceremony.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Naniir putul t́ut́ul t́ut́ul
Háth pá náŕche hese hese

Auṋguliguli campakakali
Dyuloker dyuti cokhe bháse

Kusumita van kariyá cayan
Eseche khokhan/khukhu nava deshe

Gaŕe tule noba baŕa kare noba
Kole tule noba bhálobese

A puppet of cream is our darling baby;
Hands and feet are waving as s/he laughs and laughs.

Her/his fingers are like magnolia buds;
A heavenly glow fills her/his eyes.

Plucking tender flowers from the forest,
The baby has arrived in a new land.

I will nurture the baby well, helping it grow.
I will take the baby on my lap with love.
