O lord,
On silent feet, You'd arrived secretly;
with silent feet,
In my eyes You be, my Dearest Dear.
You secretly came into my eyes,
None could know, and none could see...
O my most beloved.
This they fathomed not, Your love most sweet.

No one could know or see that,
Then, pitter-patter, water had been falling;
No one could understand
And in bursts, bolts of thunder had been dancing.
this sweetest love of yours.
Outside raging, inside charming...
This mode Yours was most fruitful formerly.

At that time,
Jasmine fragrance on the humid breeze
with murmuring sounds it rained,
Had come floating all about the darkness deep.
and lightning danced with outbursts.
In one corner of my heart, a recess of psyche,

Oh the Innermost, You became my own property.
Outside threat,
inside charm...
that form of yours was at that time
most materialised.

Then, the pollen of juhi flowers,
through the moist breeze,
came floating about,
encircling the deep darkness.

In the depth of my mind,
in a corner of my heart,
my ego vanished away,
O innermost one.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Niirava carańe esechile gopane
Mor nayane tumi ogo priyatama
(Keu) Jánite párila ná dekhite párila ná
Bujhila ná ei tava priiti madhuratama

(Takhan) Jharajhara jhara rave vári jharitechila
Ashani ucchráse nrtya karitechila
Báhire tarjan antare mohan
E rúp takhan tava hala sárthakatama

Júthiká parimal sajala samiire
Bhásiyá esechila andha tamasá ghire
Maner gahane hiyára ekt́i końe
Nijasva haye gele ogo antaratama

On silent feet, You'd arrived secretly;
In my eyes You be, my Dearest Dear.
None could know, and none could see...
This they fathomed not, Your love most sweet.

Then, pitter-patter, water had been falling;
And in bursts, bolts of thunder had been dancing.
Outside raging, inside charming...
This mode Yours was most fruitful formerly.

Jasmine fragrance on the humid breeze
Had come floating all about the darkness deep.
In one corner of my heart, a recess of psyche,
Oh the Innermost, You became my own property.
