Niiravata majhe ke go tumi ele is the seventh song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2] It is also known as the Song of Buddha.[3]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Niiravatá májhe ke go tumi ele
Ghanaghor ghum bháuṋgáte
Ghum bháuṋgále

Jhat́ikár gháte nebháno diipete
Jiṋán shalákát́i jválále

Sájáno bágáne chot́o khelághare
Járá áse tárá cale jáy dúre
Táder pather nisháná ájike
Diip jvele diye jánále

Who are You who came silently
To wake us from a long, deep sleep—
To break our slumber?

When cyclones extinguished our lamp,
The match of knowledge was struck.

Regarding this small playhouse of Your ornate garden,
Those who have come, they also go away.
Today their path is not dark.
Your lamp shines through the window.

Purport

This is how Sarkar himself described the meaning of the song—[3]

Oh Paramapuruśa, You have come to break the bondage of slumber. You lighted the lamp of knowledge which was extinguished by thunderstorms. You are the lighthouse that saves us from any destruction, from the ravages of cyclones. People come and go in this world without direction; You have shown them how to reach their destination.
