Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Nrtyera tále tále nrtyera chande
Oi áse vasanta oi áse
Kuyásháy d́háká taru álojhalamal haye
Nava kishalaye phule punah háse

Vanaphula ábharańe sárá tanu d́hákiyá
Áluthálu elokesh ákáshe meliyá
Púrváshá nrtyer chande chut́iyá cale
Sushobhaná prakrti madhumáse

Malayer d́heu áse uśńa jaladhi háse
Sare jáoyá madhurimá phire áse

Jár ei madhurimá jáhár ei garimá
Táhár kathát́i mane sadá bháse

In the cadence and rhythm of dance,
There comes spring, there she comes.
The fog-shrouded trees, having become sparkling,
They smile again with fresh blooms and leaves.

Decorating His whole body with wildflower-trinkets,
Spreading unloosed and disheveled hair cross the firmament,
He makes haste in the rhythm of purvasha dance,[nb 2]
Nature well-bedecked in this month of Chaitra

A billow of gentle wind appears; a warm ocean laughs;
The departed sweetness, it arrives again.

The One from Whom this sweetness, Whose is this greatness—
Constantly the thought of Him arises.
