Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Nútan chande tumi metechile
Srśt́i racile e kii liiláy
Phuler gandhe alakánande
Bhariyá ut́hile e kii máyáy

(Ogo) Táo ki kakhano hay
Eká eta sambhav je nay
Phuler bágáne latáy pátáy
Pápaŕite eká kii kare ray
Eká se anek aneke se eká
Táito se eta kariyá jáy

Tomári chande pale anupale
Kál parimáń náciyá je cale
Desh pátrer bhávdhárá jata
Sei chandei utsárita
Sei chandei nácite nácite
Asiimer páne amrte dháy
Madhumákhá ameya dyotanáy

O lord,
engrossed in new rhythm,
You created the universe!
What is this divine game of yours?

With the fragrance of flowers,
You absorbed all in heavenly bliss.
O what type of illusion is this?

How did it happened?
Single handed, it is not possible.
Can creepers, leaves and petals
live alone in the flower garden?

From one to many and many to one,
that is how, he does so much.

By your rhythm, at every moment,
the measure of time dances on.
All concepts of place and person
become discharged into that rhythm.

In a continuous dance,
it rushes on unto infinity
in search of nectar,
in search of that immeasurable
and sweetly anointed expression.
