Pháguner águn lágáno
Paláshakuiṋje eso shyám (mor)
Udvel hiyá rayeche cáhiyá
Dekhite tomáy guńadhám

Kadambadrume kokil gáiche
Tamáler kálo cháyá je náciche
Ashokakuiṋje puiṋje puiṋje
Madhur áshe áse alidám

Maner madhye je rauṋ dhareche
Se rauṋ dyuloke chaŕiye paŕeche
Bhúloke dyuloke ek sáthe áji
Smariche tomár madhu nám
Tumi tále tále eso ghanashyám

ফাগুনের আগুন-লাগানো
পলাশকুঞ্জে এসো শ্যাম (মোর)
উদ্বেল হিয়া রয়েছে চাহিয়া
দেখিতে তোমায় গুণধাম

কদম্বদ্রুমে কোকিল গাইছে
তমালের কালো ছায়া যে নাচিছে
অশোককুঞ্জে পুঞ্জে পুঞ্জে
মধুর আশে আসে অলিদাম

মনের মধ্যে যে রঙ ধরেছে
সে রঙ দ্যুলোকে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে
ভূলোকে দ্যুলোকে এক সাথে আজি
স্মরিছে তোমার মধু নাম
তুমি তালে তালে এসো ঘনশ্যাম

O dear shya'm (krs'n'a),
kindling fire!
During my spring,
come into the arbour of palash trees!

O collection of attributes,
my heart is restless to see you!

The cuckoo sings in the kadamba tree,
the dark shadow of tama'l trees dances,
and at the ashoka arbour,
swarms of honeybees gather.

The mind colouring hue
scatters into heavenly arenas.

The heaven and earth stay with me,
remembering your sweet name.

O ghanashya'm,
come to me with each rhythm of yours.
