Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Phúlera vanete parii esechilo
Phúleri madhu pán karite
Matta pavane madira gagane

A fairy entered the flower garden to sip floral nectar.
It flew in on the intoxicating breeze
while spreading its golden wings in the charming sky.
All the flowers peep out and say.
"our nectar is not very tasty.
Some is bitter,
some sour,
some astringent,
some very repulsive to the tongue."

While selecting, the intelligent fairy
plucked only the sweet flowers
into its basket.

The fairy did not slight any flower.
It gave equal affection to one and all.
It went to the distant sky while touching lightly
even those flowers whose nectar it didn't take.
