Why, lord, did you choose to come so late?
Lord, only now You came;
Ages have passed
Why did You make so much delay?
And i waited expectantly
Watching the path of Your return,
For your advent.
For me alone, many ages slipped away.
If you really love,
If you really love,

Prabhu tumi elei jakhan is the 346th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Prabhu tumi elei jakhan
Kena eta karle derii
Tomár ásá patha ceye
Kata jug je geche ámári

Bhálo jadi báste jáno
Liilákhelá karo kena
Paráń bhare cái tomáre
Jenei dite carańtarii

Tomár áshe dine ráte
Chinu ámi shravań pete
Áshá niráshár doláte
Duliye ele krpá kari

Lord, only now You came;
Why did You make so much delay?
Watching the path of Your return,
For me alone, many ages slipped away.

If you really love,
Why these aimless pranks.
I wanted you, lord
From my heart's deep core,
At your lotus feet
For shelter to take,
And so i waited expectantly
I dared not miss a single beat.

Between dreams and despair
You always kept me suspended (tossed)
In anxious anticipation,
Until ultimately you chose to come,
Out of your sweet grace,
Out of your boundless grace.
